Free Book Pickup
Utah Book Cycle makes it easy to clear space on your shelves with our free next-day book pickup service.
We accept books of any condition, any topic, and in any load size. Simply schedule below with your location and an estimate of the load size, leave the books on your porch, and we’ll take care of the rest.
For larger pickups, such as estate sales, downsizing, or storage unit cleanouts, we also offer free boxing services. Schedule an appointment below, note you need boxing service, and we’ll handle everything for you!
If we’re unable to rehome your books, we donate them to local artists for creative projects or recycle them responsibly, ensuring nothing goes to waste.
As always, 10% of profits goes to Mental Health First Aid training in the community.

What happens to the books you donate?

When you donate books to Utah Book Cycle, you’re doing more than clearing off a shelf—you’re helping reduce waste, support local creativity, and expand access to mental health support across Utah.
We pick up your books for free, in any condition, and make sure every single one goes to good use.
Here’s where they go:

Rehomed
We resell or donate books that are in good condition to readers, educators, and nonprofits—keeping them in circulation and out of the landfill.

Repurposed
Books that can’t be rehomed are offered to local artists, makers, and small businesses to use in creative projects like murals, journals, décor, and more.
03
Recycled
Books that are too damaged or no longer relevant—like outdated textbooks, old phone books, or obsolete reference materials—are responsibly recycled.
